In the event that it was proved in the council's evidentiary hearing that Jackson's legal residence is not in Nogales, any taxpayer could have used the findings to file what is called a Quo Warranto court action to have Jackson removed from office. For justice's sake, we hope the Arizona Attorney General's Office re-files the charges against Jackson and this time before a real justice of the peace. (Nogales International, AZ)

In 1989, Machado's deputy county attorney Richard Martinez successfully went after Macias using the proceeding called Quo Warranto through Santa Cruz County Superior Court ... Since Jackson and Machado believe the council does not have the authority to address the issue, it remains to be seen whether County Attorney George Silva will exercise his authority to file for Quo Warranto as specified in ARS 12-2042 of the state statutes. Mr. Hill and I met this morning and after an amicable conversation in which I informed Mr. Hill that I had, based on a referral received Wednesday from the Secretary of State's Office, along with the most recent Missouri State Auditor's report, prepared and intended to file a Quo Warranto' (removal from office) action against him on 3 p.m. Thursday, Gebhardt stated.
