    Man gets life for girlfriend's murder  May 13, 2006
    FORT PIERCE With the death penalty off the table, a judge Friday imposed the maximum sentence for a Port St. Lucie man who killed his ex-girlfriend and then burned her body: back-to-back life sentences plus 70 years. The same jury that convicted Coleman "Fred" Sule, 53, of first-degree murder, burglary and arson in the August 2003 death of Dorene Domato also recommended that he be spared the death penalty and be given a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
